When I was on my PGCE placement I worked with a trainee PE teacher - he was only a young lad but took every opportunity to drop in as many lines from that scene during football training as he possibly could! A Barnsley institution, that film!

Think he went on to be a head in Royston somewhere - fast as lightening - could run a 100m in 11.00 secs!

I don't think Brian Glover could run a hundred metres in eleven seconds though!!! His was more the physical game!!!

 

Thing is

he was physical as well. Run after you then knock you in tomorrow - more chance of getting away from Brian Glover

I think it is lamb lane cos you also see St Helens J&amp;I in the background. Painted in the classic council blue colour.

Iv laked on that pitch early mid 70's then got chased off by kids from st Helens school, Then again i did go to st Micks cue small running battles oh what fun.
