Free entry next weekend Sun Feb 3 2008, 21:20 Havant and Waterlooville have extended an invitation to the 6000 fans who travelled to Anfield last week to come to next Saturday’s home game free of charge as a thank you. The Hawks will take on Cambridge City at Westleigh Park with a 3pm kick off, and to get in free all visitors need to do is show their Liverpool match ticket on the turnstile.
So Havant Are Rewarding........... the glory supporters, who only watched the team because they were playing Liverpool?
yes, in a great pr exercise to try to win a few over who may like what they see and attend more regularly, i think it's a great idea
It's not complicated Thousands of potential fans who have now got a link, however small, with the club's most glorious moment. Let them sink into the background or encourage them to come along and be part of the club? Shrewd move.
Even if only one of those 6,000 buys a pie/drink or goes again then they've made money and increased their fan base. Good on 'em.
How does buying a pie/drink increase our fan base? Its done on the pitch by the players not f'ing freebies by the club.
What let in 3,000 friends of season ticket holders in for nothing, when it is them who are preventing 3,000 other season ticket holders from going to Anfield - I think not!
Don't worry they won't come the next home game after Liverpool is washdays, they'll have to pay like everyone else..
Perhaps we should let them use our season tickets for that game they are obviously more worthy of Anfield tickets than us!
So basically, even though, technically at least 3,000 have to be season ticket holders, we should reward the robbing cnuts who have snatched season ticket holders ticket by letting them in free. What about the season ticket holders who cant get tickets? or the season ticket holders who have, should they be refunded? What a stupid idea.
