A have a season ticket with two friends. One of them has been saying for a while he will probably not renew nest year. The other friend has been on the edge. I have always maintained I would renew even if we were in the Conference. BUT I am slowly starting to lose my love for football in general. There is no loyalty AT ALL anymore and I find myself thinking why should I waste my hard earned cash just to fill someone else's already deep pockets Is it just me?
Not at all......Barnsley F.C. will always be my passion but it’s not life and death by a long stretch
No i felt like this many times in the past. Not so much with Hecky leaving but more what as gone before. Selling off a entire team because money is more important than an ambition unfortuanley
My love of football has diminished since the invention of the Premier League. And the subsequent failure of the England team. Money ruined both. My love of BFC was the bright spot in all that. Especially the last three years or so. So yes, I see where you are coming from. Obviously, I am just a fickle fan, and when the new guy gets us flying up the league, and Hecky takes Leeds into League One, then I'll be all smiles again.
The only ones that hang around for any length of time at our club are the poor ones. Thats our future I`m afraid.
I’m a massive hecky fan and I’ve enjoyed the ride but we’ve been here before and recovered. Ultimately i support the players on the pitch that represent my town and that won’t change no matter who’s the manager. One good win hopefully starting on Saturday and people’s outlook will change.UTR
Only interested in football these days because of reds . But there has been reasons presented where I would have given up . One was the Ched Evans scare . Once My beloved BFC step into the cesspool I’ve done altogether and unfortunately that will also include my grandkids .
Whilst I understand the sentiment (I'm considering not renewing too but that's more to do with the fact we're crap and I live 80 miles away), what happens if a new manager comes in and we start winning again?
Your pals are looking at it wrong. When you are in Brammahs at 9am saturday morning. Taking your seat in the stand. Look at the people you are with. Your freinds. Your family. Thats why we go to the match. The game its self regardless of how dramatic and the size of the current soap opera at the club is but a fleeting moment in time.
