I really have no inkling of what Cryne is thinking - is he close to getting rid or has it not crossed his mind at all. Maybe today was the final straw, maybe he's thinking of 10 games, or Christmas, or what - I just don't know. But I felt today, at 3-1, that if its getting close and another 4 or 5 losses will do it, or perhaps a tonking, then I thought let's go for the tonking - better that than 5 more defeats. Today was already gone and its 3 points lost whether we lost 3-1 or 6-1. Its terrible but by the time we were 3-1 down, I really wanted them to make it 6. If it did for Davey then it would have been worth it. Its bad when you get to that point.
Cryne,as with all other home games this season was not at the game. So, the information he receives will be the opinions of others.
But that's the thing isn't it - at 3-1 Davey or any of the other back room staff can say "we were unlucky again Mr Chairman". 6-1 though needs no second opinion, whether he was at the game or not. At 6-1, you can tell it was as shocking as it gets simply by reading the score on teletext.
