I'm aware that people involved with the club might read this forum, and I'd just like to state something for the record regarding that badge and Ben Mansford's statement. You said that it was a close run thing between the current crest and one of the new ones. I voted for the current one because all of the new ones you presented look like they'd been knocked up by a GCSE design student in his lunch hour. The options presented made it seem like everybody was agreed that the basic concept was OK, but you wanted people's input as to the detail. I'd just like to make it clear that for me the basic concept wasn't OK. The initial concept, the typeface, the art - they were all really really really bad. If I were project managing this rebranding and got presented with those I'd tell whoever was in charge of them to rip them up and start again (or sack them). At the time of voting I considered the whole thing to be a bit of a joke, but now I'm terrified that we might actually adopt one. Using any of them would make us a laughing stock.
Sestren, this whole badge project is nowt to do with a logo and image, it is simply down to collecting e-mail and mobile data. Remember that when you voted, you had to provide info? The badge project is a "front" for this. Or am I cynical?
