    what's embarassing about it?

we've got a proper badge like some of the other teams with a long history.

also - it's the town's emblem, and as the people of the town did a lot to save the club and have always kept it alive, why not have this badge?

    Amen to that mate!

It is the TOWN's emblem as you rightly point out - nothing whatsoever embarrassing about it!

A football club represents the community in which it is based and what better way to honour that community by choosing, as our badge, the town's crest. It's our history and our heritage and we should be proud of it...

    RE: what's embarassing about it?

Its not embarrasing went a bit OTT there but, loads of other teams have implemented new badges, just wondered wether or not we should do same and scrap those pit men.

    Whatever badge we had

I would like it to incorporate an image to represent the mining industry in some way
