    I'm not 100% certain but I'd say they're making nothing out of this.

    "(Texts charged at your usual standard rate)" - My guess is somebody in the corner below the screen recieving the text on a normal mobile phone and printing them off for the fella' to read at half time..

    What about getting em put on the scoreboard so everybody can see?

    Could liven up a boring match. Charge 20p a text or summat, then get some banter going and make some money.

    Every text would be that offensive none would be able to be shown.

    That'd be a non-starter. :D

    Obviously they would have to be censored. But they get charged for sending, so the club makes money even if you don't get displayed. Far too forward thinking and technological though. If it used carrier pigeons and and bloke walked round like the town crier, it might be more likely to happen.
