I'm reading it as 25-45 is the age range for the characters, not necessarily the actors. If you're 59, but still look 39, you're in with a shout. If you're like me, 59 but look 109, you're stuffed.

 

Wouldn't mind being in a Shane Meadows film myself...I did do a (very) small voice part for a Northern Film School production a few years ago....which was fun.
If Shane was looking for an ugly 60 plus cynical old b*****d....the role would be mine.

 

It says to play a character of a specific age, you don't have to be that age yourself.

 

If there's anyone who knows how to get the best out of first time actors it is Shane Meadows. Get yourselves off.

I went along to a Mortal Kombat casting call a few years ago just because I wanted to see what goes on in these productions. Seems they didn't want a big mid forties dopey looking sod in their film though. I could have played Sub Standard. Finish him!

There's been rumours that he's wanting to make another series of This is England, set around the millennium.

 

It's a shame I look nowt like I did at 15. I was less rotund back then and had a full head of hair.

 

I was about a foot shorter than I am now, when I was 15.

 

Height wise I carried on growing into my twenties and my podginess went with it. Then I stopped playing sports and got a sit down job and became tall n' fat lol
