Looks a bit German, to me. Why have they removed the red? Perhaps they're hoping by looking German, we'll play like them. I don't think it'll work myself.
Do they actually spend money on designing these? If so thats the easiest £20 that designer will earn.
I'm not sure the designers can win. No one likes any sort of fancy pattern but when they make it simple they haven't put enough effort in. I agree about the red, it should match the colours in our flag.
That effort looks so basic. Right out of the sixties TBH. Poor show. Nike are certainly putting some crap merchandise out these days. Having witnessed Scotland play in some truly awful strips over the years I really do think I know what I'm talking about. LOL We at United are also sponsored by Nike and I'm wondering what horror show we have coming to us this year. I'm not too hopeful of a good looking kit this year.
It is apparently Navy Blue. No idea why they've reverted back to it. The white shirts, white shorts, white socks and red trim looked spot on to me. However, were it up to me, we'd wear red shirts.
If they wanted a classic looking kit they should have revived this one circa 1986 http://www.thegelderdend.com/images/eng84kids1.JPG?osCsid=a905a9a9a1f8cb027b63df9756eda59a
I like the look of that tbh. I can imagine Scotty Parker with his neat hair cut and tucked-in shirt looking fantastic in that.
It should be white with red trim. Those are the only colours in the England flag. Not sure where the use of navy blue came from but it's just wrong. Don't like it.
That has got to be the worst England kit I've ever seen and I thought the last one was poor. But at least it had red on it. Seriously this new one is awful.
Nike bought out Umbro a few years ago, and have now decided to use the Nike brand for the england kit.
