Anyone else surprised we havent gone in for any keepers? Davies did make quite a few errors last season and Townsend is no where near good enough for this level in my opinion.
Davies is one of the best keepers in the Championship and Townsend was brought in due to his great potential.Unfair to judge Townsend at the moment due to Davies being so consistent.
He's a decent shot stopper but his positioning and decision making are pretty awful. Seemed to get worse as the season went on last season. Certainly not one of the worst keepers weve had at this level though. Just thought we might have brought some one in to give him some competition.
i said all last season that we needed a shay givens age type of 'keeper one that's not bothered about playing every week, that would be an excellent coach and try to teach him the "tricks of the trade" but a safe pair of hands on the bench
I'm a big Davies fan think we'll stick with both until Townsend deal expires next years! On a limited budget I would waste any of it on a new keeper
Adam is our number one and I doubt we could afford better so we need a back up keeper who is happy to sit on the bench most of the season. In that respect I'm not sure we're going to get better than Townsend.
