I like the shade of red, but overall it's pretty dull. Would have preferred a retro-style collar like a big white v-neck or something.
All I can think of is 'Meh' I mean, it's not shi.t, but it's not amazing. Just a red shirt really. I prefered last years - I liked the white on the sleeves.
These plain shirts... ...are all very well and good and are seemingly what seems like the majority of fans have been calling for. However, if they are going with a plain look, can they justify changing it every season and charging 40+ notes? Can the removal of some white trim really be justification for a new strip? Then of course, the season after, the white will be back, then gone, then back again. I would think that the old plain shirts are remembered favourably for their bold design but also because they didn't cost the earth and weren't changed every season. These new shirts are like the New Mini... aesthetic nods to the old one but completely missing the point of affordability and longevity. I find myself looking back at the Lotto kit with fondness.
It's an ok shirt. Won't be getting one though, will have to see what the away shirt is like. It's just a bit boring to spend £40+ on.
It's basically a red shirt with sponsor/manafacturer and badge on. I never buy them anyway, prefer my old retro tops. But in terms of it being red and a Barnsley shirt, it gets 10/10 from me. In terms of originality or creativity, it gets sweet FA.
