Looking at the threads farther down. Like many, I would question who we can afford and names like David O'Leary and Iain Dowie look well out of our range. However, what about the shadowy figure of Patrick Cryne in the background. I just wonder if the new manager will be the start of a new business-plan backed by Cryne, in which case we could rule IN managers of the calibre of O'Leary and Dowie and they might be being offered a decent 'war chest' to spend in January and in the close season. Just a thought - I don't like to raise false optimism, but this could be the scenario, couldn't it? If this sort of investment were to be made, now would be the time, wouldn't it?
