My view is we get Neil Redfern as manager, plus an experienced man as his assistant, Or could we lure mick mccarthy from wolves??, im sure he would love to manage his home town cluib
Getting Refearn in would be.... ....an absolutely horrendous decision. Most of his managerial experience is in the Conference, where he has an appalling track record anyway. Besides, would you really want to see a hero crucified in the same way as Hendrie was?
No to Redders at the moment, we need way more than a 'ex fans favourite'. Also, doubt we could pay the Compo to Wolves.
No McCarthy wouldnt I once asked him Sensibly his response was along the lines of 'If I failed I'd lose the respect I have from the fans' Considering the rewards meted out for success I think he's wise to not want to come
RE: Getting Refearn in would be.... Ok maybe you have a point, why not get him in as assistant to the new man then, whoever it may be
Ian Dowie Palace were in a similar position to us and he not only staved off relegation he actually got them into the play-offs and promoted.
RE: Ian Dowie yeah, i'd got for that. plus he would be closer to his family in bolton, which is why he left palace (according to Simon jordan, anyway). So why not.
