1) Is prepared to work on a reasonably low salary. 2) Prepared to work with limited transfer funds. 3) Is prepared to work mainly with the players we have at the club 4) Is prepared to possibly have best players sold in January transfer window 5) Willing to risk previous reputation in order to keep Barnsley in the Championship. 6) Willing to manage Barnsley in Division 1 if safety is not secured. 7) Risk facing the sack if Championship status is not secured. In my view that rules out most of the names people on here have mentioned. I might be proven wrong (and hope I am!), but i suspect those wanting Hill out and someone else in will not be happy at the end of the selection process.
It does if some of the names being touted on here are to be taken seriously. Would Phil Brown risk his reputation on us? It's hilarious.
Doesn't come as an overrated , self important double act. Since when did a Barnsley manager NOT work on a limited budget
(8) Must wear underpants outside of tights (9) Must have shirt with big 'S' on front (10) Must be able to change in a telephone box.
Sounds like Phil Brown to me He wanted the Hartlepool job knowing in the summer he would likely be managing a league 2 side so he would jump at the chance to manage us.
