Why does the combo of Winstanley and Redfearn keep coming up?. A bloke who's knocking on and hasn't worked in english football, afaik, for a decade, and a bloke who has bombed in management at every club he's been at (and god knows he's tried a few times). I think I'd rather Davey came back. Davey in!!
RE: why are people voting for wilson? I certainly havn't. But maybe they like his style? Laid the foundations of an improved Bristol City team, but that's about it.
Jamie Redknapp all the way "Can i borrow Crouch and Bentley for as month?"</p> </p> "Yes of course son" </p>
Mark Robins is the bright spark and would probably edge to the top of my list. Look how well Rotherham played at West Brom last week with players well chosen and well organised under Robins' management. He has an eye for choosing and for developing a player - look at Reuben Reid - pretty much pants at Plymouth and Brentford, but his stengths properly channelled under Robins and he becomes a Championship star. Same with his choosing and developing Tom Pope from Crewe. Good eye for a player. The down-side is that he does not know the Championship, but look what he did with demoralised Rotherham last season - no ground; administration; points deduction - and yet a record to be proud of. He must be a great motivator and that is a huge part of what we need right now. He also is at a stage at which he is ready to prove himself again at a higher level. The other suggestions all have a feel of 'deja vu' about them - even Boothroyd and Sanchez, although the latter would do a job if we want a robust, no-nonsense manager who would make a quick impact, but probably not stay that long. It's up to the board how they do it, but Norwich did it with Paul Lambert (but left Colchester spitting teeth). Mark Robins - top of my list.
Mark Robins? FFS people, what has he done? Can we not look a bit above league 2 and maybe a bit more than 10 miles away?
Rotherham started on -15 last year, they finished Mid-table. Think they will have finished 2nd if they didn't have the points deduction. Very shrewed in the transfer market and Rotherham are now faviourites for promotion because of him.
