I agree mate, but since James (Hetfield) went in rehab they have had a total different outlook on where their music is going and i do love their new stuff much more than St.Anger:)

The first four minutes were a bit of a disappointment but after it get's going it's not too bad

I've still got high hopes for the album though

Hmmm....not sure, it'll probably grow on me and is certainly better than their St Anger stuff. Wasn't sure about getting the new album before.
Is that Hetfield on vocals though - sounds a bit different

Compare this song to their old song One. Not a patch on One

Not keen on it at all.

Played to my mate who's been a Metallica fan for as long as I can remember, and he was not impressed in the slightest. Just doesn't have that Metallica feel to it

    Not really surprised

Most hard core Metallica fans don't seem to like much of their output post 1990.

To my ears, the new single doesn't sound much different to the stuff on "Load" (the last Metallica album I bought).

Saw them at Leeds on Friday absoutly fantastic, dint play any St Anger stuff (thank god) played another new one called Cyanide, which is also on you tube, that's quite good, agree with the new stuff sounding like the Load and Reload stuff, I've seen em about 10 times now and as a live band they just can't be beaten. Seeing them at Wembley the other year was awsome first time i'd been and said to my mates how good it would be to see tarn play there and low and behold

    Metallica rocks

I went to the Wembley gig - unfortunately we were on the top tier so not a great view

Best gig was donington 2006 when they played Master Of Puppets in full

    Amazing

Really wanted to see them at Leeds.

Also, I was in Dublin on Wednesday, but couldn't stay for the show.....
