Hi all, first post on here, been reading all the speculation over the transfer window, and now reds have done us a favour by keeping it interesting by sacking Davey as the window closed so we can speculate on something else. I was a Davey supporter until the transfer window, when we seemed to lose all credibilty with the comments Davey was making that were clearly his attempt to find a rapport with fans. The promised championship class signings and the commitment to playing 442 were examples of this. The transfer dealings were a joke and the performances in pre-season, though positive, were no improvement. We started the season with the same team getting the same results. I'm afraid he had to go. Going forward, if its Robins, good luck to him. I think we are going to need it. I just hope he's given the same backing as davey was in January and when we can make loan signings again.
His signings over the summer who he said were his top targets and the players he let go didn't make any difference to the team, he just weakened the squad and tried filling the gap with young un's. I believe Robins or however only need a handfull of players to make us a mid table side. Andy Liddles comments on Robins make him sound a very good prospect so I'm hoping we get him. Welcome anyway!
Welcome mate Hope you have a thick skin, cos you will need it. In true BFC style, everything has been funny as **** as usual.
Welcome mate i think same as you tbh. Just don't see why we let him bring a few new players in, and as soon as the transfer window is closed, sack him, 5 games in. Nothing was ever really going to change between thhe Plymouth game and a few games in so why didn't we get rid at the end of last season if we were going to.
We only need 2 left backs, a centre half, Goalkeeper, Goal scorer and not all for the first team. How many loan players can you have?
Well you couldn't perhaps play 2 new left backs in your new team So it seems (cos the new goalie would be backup eventually) that we need a new left back centre half and goalscorer for the first team Fair enough I personally can't see however this apparently accepted wisdom on here that we've got a lion of a squad that's recently been led by a donkey It means that while we've been watching them we've all seen individual flashes of talent that haven't been yet harnesed into a team Because of Davey I think that is wrong
