the layout itself looks ok but someone needs to take charge and completly revamp it

all they appear to have done is carried the existing photographs across from the old shop. This isn't good enough.

The club needs to take new photographs of all the items for sale, ones that look something like professional and will actually make you want to buy the products. A badly taken, out of focus photo that doesnt accuratly reflect the colour or quality of the stuff on sale is hardly inspiring me to part with my money.

Get new photo's done for everything that is already on sale online, then build up the collection until EVERY item that is available in the club shop is available online.

When that's done the club will see its revenue from merchandise really start to increase.

Not so easy if you live in Wales or Scotland

This is the 21st century and online sales are crucial to the success of any business.

I would rather walk into comet, look at their TV's and buy one but they haven't closed their online store because they realise the importance of it.

Not everyone can find the time to go to the shop for whatever reason, such as having a job. BFC clubshop isnt exactly the most flexible in terms of opening hours so the online store becomes even more important and that is why the images used to advertise each product are vital. If you can't get to the clubshop then you have one chance to see the items before you buy them online, and that one chance is the photo that is used on the site. Get it wrong and you've lost the sale.

You don't have to have vast experience to have common sense SM

**** advertising images equals poor sales, you dont have to be patrick cryne to know that.

Is constructive criticism not allowed then? **** me we might as well close the BBS down.

For all you and I know the photographs that they use at the moment might be a temporary measure to get the new shop online quickly. It would explain why the FAQ and things aren't there yet.

I certainly wasn't saying that the new superstore is crap, its a VAST improvement on the old one.

I wasn't complaining, I was making comments on what, from a customers point of view, will turn the online shop into one of the best tools the club has at its disposal. If it came across as being a complaint or a rant then I apologise, it was probably down to a bad choice of words (such as 'this isn't good enough' obviously).

I actually really like the basis of the new store. I like how easy it is to email a product to a friend, how the front page looks really inviting with the changing image and especially how you can click on the photo of the new shirt to see close up's of the detailing. I also quite like how easy it is to tell if they have something in stock or not, it's pretty hard not to be able to tell as soon as you look at a product.

Change the old photo's to more professional ones and increase the collection of products available and we've got a winner.

And I don't think anybody would have a problem in you saying that

If I was you I'd just think about why nearly every post you are making at the moment you are getting 'Here we go again' as the first response.

We all have a response copied and pasted just ready to fire off as soon as you post cos its so predictable.

Anyway your last effort was well constructed, receive a star and keep on practising.
