Chris Dagnall very close to finalising his move to Coventry, initially until January. Would expect #BarnsleyFC to get a player in tomorrow.
John Cofie also discussing with his agent whether to get some football on loan. He has a couple of options in the conference. #BarnsleyFC

    Who is that from?

I think it could be a case of 2+2, as we said last week that we wouldn't let Daggers go as it would mean we only have 3 strikers.

Why are we wasting a wage on Cofie? If his only options are in the conference how can that be a better standard than the 'performance' squad?

Yep your right Jim, I get the idea there's been a lot of money wasted on players wages this season

He's been linked with Alfreton, apparently.

Craig Davies to Burnley tomorrow is another rumour.

Busy day ahead. Looks like there's no point us bairning about things, so fingers crossed the striker we bring in is of a decent standard.

tbh, don't really give a fvck. even if it's a world beater - which it won't be - we'll conspire to play him in the completely wrong position, keep him on the bench and waste more money on wages

I just don't understand it at all.

I went to Under 21's v Birmingham and it was clear that Cofie was way too good for that level, he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile. I know it's only one game but he looked far ahead of the rest. Now I'm not sure if he's good enough for the Championship, but if he's too good for the Under 21's but not good enough for the first team, what's the point in having him here? He needs to play or go on loan, preferably somewhere higher than the conference. I'd like to see him given the chance up front for the first team now C'OG is out but I can't see it happening.

The standard of football at Conference level is better than you might imagine; with promotion and relegation from League 2 being in place for some years now there are several decent ex-league sides and most promoted sides do really well in the Football League. Alfreton have been a very progressive club over the last decade or so and Cofie would probably get some decent experience there...

About the right level I'd say for him he's not good enough for the league below having seen him play last season there to little or no affect.

Davies being linked with a loan move back to Wolves this morning, according to Twitter and a link to a local Bolton newspaper.
