so why didn't the club tell the fans who were organising raffles / coppering up sessions not to bother? hth
Its took a kick up the arse from the bbs for them to spend some money on one, should improve the atmosphere at Oakwell especially if they leave it on during the midweek games, Gail Platt going mental on Cora. http://www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk/sport/article/5567/reds-reveal-plans-for-new-scoreboard
Money which could have been better spent elsewhere imo. If you can't remember the score in a 90 minute match there's seriously something wrong with you
It will generate income in the long run through Sponsorhip and advertising, money well spent no reason why we cant command the sponsorship and advertising fees similar to Burnleys. The club need to improve 100% of the field to generate more income for players. Let's hope the club use it to its full potential to make the money. It's more than just counting the number of goals. Well done BFC.
Pre match entertainment in televised game, bar in Ponty, to come hopefully, with profits not all handed over to other parties, killing a couple of birds with one stone. Am all for it.
My grandad always says this, what do you think? The scoreboard should be between South and West Stand because it can be hard to see with sun.
might as well buy a new scoreboard than another sh.ithouse player from Rochdale! good decision BFC...at last hth
Eh? The sun travels between the south and west during games meaning that fans would be looking directly into the sun if they looked at the board. When does the sun ever shine in the north?
You mean in the smoking corner Hemsy? I think it should go there rather than the opposite empty part of the ground, it's never going to be positioned where every single person in the ground can see it, we'd need two boards for that.
Any news from The Don about why the sudden change of mind? Anyone at Oakwell read the scoreboard thread on here showing cheaper quotes than the 120k, the examples of income that other clubs generate through them by any chance?
