Thought I really ought to change it since I haven't lived in London for a couple of years now...

So now you are ex-ex-city tyke?

Hope your name is not the only thing that changes this coming season.

Maybe ex-ex-citytyke would be better. How was the "proper" camping?

    Camping started off well

Was really wild and very "proper" at first, then was running low on water so made a slight detour (well about 10 miles) to the Snake Pass Inn. Got there - it was bloody shut. Bashed on the door and persuaded the landlady to sell me 6 bottles of becks through the back door.

After that the camping trip degenerated into a pub crawl via the Rambler Inn to the Nags Head Inn in Edale. Good fun though. Photos on Facebook.

    Hang on a minute

I'm sure you treated me with utter contempt when I suggested something about taking beers on a camping trip.

    Something on the lines of

" I'm camping, REAL camping; how would I carry beer...."

Fraudster... I'll await the apology, now you've been sprung. Didn't see 6 bottles of Becks on the "edited photos". Oh no. (chinny)

I stand by what I said

I didn't CARRY any beer anywhere. I just drank it having battered the door down to get some service.

As long as you were "at one" with nature & all that... unlike those of us who go on those pseudo camping trips with big tents eh?
    :)
