Aye, should be good! Just hope this series doesn't just build up to the wedding...hoping it keeps being unpredictable with their trademark weird storylines.
On a related note, i see their film 'the magicians' or summat is out soon

in one of the episodes jez gets a new girlfriend , goes round her house to cook her tea, accidently kills her dog and they end up eating it for tea - so dont worry , don't see it getting to linnear
Ha ... good stuff just all the talk about poor ratings for the last series made me wonder how much it had left in it.
Hope there's plenty of Superhans in this series...always makes me laugh

did it get poor ratings? think its the best series. they say they are going to run it for as long as they cna get mileage out of it.. Superhans is awesome "Just been smoking me Crack pipe Mark"
Fairly low ratings I believe but ... a dedicated audience of followers (including myself)
I think they had decided to ditch it when the last series finished 18 months ago, but David Mitchell's popularity on various Friday shows such as "Have I Got News" and others seemed to kick start his popularity a bit. He did the series with Webb as well, which wasn't brilliant, and then of course the recent huge advertising campaign for Apple seems to have sealed it byexposing them both to a much wider audience.
The first 3 series were excellent. I hope this one succeeds too. Good duo with a bright future methinks.

Well I remember there was a lot of talking of it being pulled I think it must have been inbetween series 3 and the new one, I don't think it was 'poor' ratings as such, just not as high as they had hoped for, then we heard the good news that a 4th series had been commissioned, and the rest is history as they say.
Aye that sounds about right. I reember seeing on the channel 4 website that there wasn't to be another series, but they clearly had a change of heart.
I think both Mitchell and Webb have been very funny on those comedy quiz shows, they seem very quick with responses and such like, but the latest series as a duo (I forget which was which) wasn't great and as mentioned before I didn't find them all that funny live.
Still...roll on tonight! Best TV show in ages I reckon
