There has been much discussion of how to measure what a true fan is: 1. Number of years a STH 2. Number of home vs away games per season 3. Miles travelled per season I would like to propose a new SI unit of true Redness: The DB, which is a measure of the volume of tears produced when the reds lose or indeed win. Obviously named in honour of the redest red fan of them all
It would be interesting to see the attendances expressed as redness/cardinality, i.e. average redness. So you'd get a high value for a die-hards only game and a low value for a glory-hunters jolly. Tickets stubs could then be prioritised based on these scores. That'd keep 'em busy.
I'm liking where this is going. Could be the way to solve Mr Rowlings headaches once and for all.....................
a scanner could be placed in Grove Street and if your ticket wasn't red enough you wouldn't be allowed to queue-sorted
