one DM one LB/LW and a CF/WF suggest howard is on his way out regardless of what davey has been trying to insist
they make no difference to his function but it increases competition for places and why the need to buy aso many players who can play midfield if we've already got likes of howard, smells like replacements to me
Let Howard Go IMHO in the last 2 to 3 months of last season he was overshadowed in Centre Midfield by a Centre Half, talk of a £4 million transfer fee (& everton) snatch their hands off. To be a 1st team regular in a team that next season will be pushing for a top 4 finish you have to be consistant & im afraid that his something Brian is'nt. I feel IF he leaves Oakwell he will become a Rob Earnshaw type player a player who teams Promoted to the Premiership will pick up for a coup[le of million & hope to get a good season out of him. I think that with Brian Howard BFC have had the best out of his career just like Ashley Ward & Craig Hignett. . . . . . . . . . . But eh opinions are like Arseholes
i agree i'm happy for howard to live, i was simply saying that davey has been sayin that we have had no offers, but his signings suggest he is on way out, though saying we have had no offers is a bit of an odd move as to me that sends signal to other teams that they might be able to get him on the cheap
But none of the players signed are players in his position Let him go and we have nobody else able to stop up into the attacking central midfielder role
Surely.......... You wanna keep a player who is technically one of the best players in this league, loves playing for Barnsley, scores goals from midfield, always trying to make something happen, i agree if 4 million or even 2.5 million came in i believe he will be sold, but surely you dont want to lose a player that had a fairly average season by his high standards and still scored 14 goals, goals from midfield are priceless, we would be playin in league one this season if we did'nt have him, people rave about leon, and yes he has looked good but only over 5 matches or so, Our team is a hell of a lot stronger with Bri in then without him.
He has bought exactly what everyone expected him to buy. Don't think any of the new players are a replacement for Howard. If he leaves we have still only got Leon who can play that central AM role, and Leon doesn't look like he has got the goals in him that Howard has. Still need to bring in a replacement if we are to let him go. But if we can get £4m I would let him go if he wants, however, if he said he wanted to stay I would take that.
Hasn't Anyone Thought That The Reason Howie Was..... on "holiday" in Los Angeles is because he might be moving to LA Galaxy
RE: Let Howard Go Rubish, BarnsleyFC will be a depleted squad if Brian Howard goes, he is the best mid-fielder in the Championship and we should do our upmost to keep the guy here. All this crap talk about him leaving for 2, 3, 10 million is just that . (crap talk). Brian Howard will be playing for BarnsleyFC next season as the Captain. With all Patricks money i doubt if we could repace Howard with a better quality mid-fielder, so we need him to stay.
