    Barnsley have pulled off a coup by signing Austrian defender Manuel Maranda ahead of competition from the Bundesliga.

    The 21-year old centre back had offers from Freiburg and Dinamo Dresden but is joining Championship side Barnsley for £600,000 from Austrian side FC Wacker.

    Didn’t know we had been in the 2nd division,looks like a good signing but does it also mean
    someone could be leaving hope not.

    Certainly sounds like one of our deals.
    We need Whitey to confirm on behalf of the clubs social media before getting too excited though.
    Juts my opinion, official announcement equals true.

    To be fair to the daily mail, we did really well to finish only three points behind champions Lincoln...
