This looks interesting. Says we are ready to offer a contract. Luton also interested. Wonder if Arabian Ian can give us his opinion on him.? https://www.teamtalk.com/news/exclusive-barnsley-luton-want-eamonn-brophy-kilmarnock
Why rely on someone who might actually have seen him play, to give their opinion, when the BBS can just look on Wikipedia and tell you he's $h!t?
https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=69848 3 in 17 this season isn't exactly prolific from a league we've not had the best of luck in when signing players.
According to Sky sports news this morning ,they are saying that the window for signings officially opens on monday the 4th of jan , which surprised me because I had got today as the day, but that is what was said .
Heard of him but tbh I could not pick him out. I’d say just a squad player for Killie. Obviously someone must think he has something to give. So sorry for not being of any real help here.
No problem Ian. Just thought that as well as me looking him up on You Tube you might have seen him play a full game and could give insight into his ability/ capability.
Was hot property a couple of years back when he was scoring regularly with Kilmarnock and a £ million plus target for Leeds and Cardiff, but neither deal came to fruition. He was capped for Scotland when his old boss at Kilmarnock, Steve Clarke, took over, but his career seems to have stalled since then. If we are using the dreaded spreadsheet, I hope that they have updated it to this season, rather than relying aon stats from two years ago. He obviously has potential and is still just coming up to twenty-five years old. Maybe needs the right manager and formation to bring the best out of him. PS I have never seen him play on tv.
Oh and, by the way, Jake Young scored again for FGR in their last game this week. That's seven from seven starts, although a number of his goals have come from substitute appearances, Still good stats for someone just making their way on the professional scene and still only nineteen years old. He's from Shelley and played for Guiseley and Sheffield United before pitching up at Forest Green. Oh and, yes, he is over six foot and still growing!
