Just gonna get my eyes tested cos they obviously need doing. Now I can't comment on Saturday's game as I had other plans but Nardiello? He must have had a blinder on Saturday from the comments on here, either that or it's a joke that I've missed. He has been shocking all season. Been of the pace, can't finish, doesn't look bothered. Admittedly I think he has the potential to do well in this league and hasn't been 100% fit up to now but I HONESTLY can't see why everybody cries out for him to come on. As for Richards, don't even go there. He runs his a*se off all game, has to come back to midfield to get the ball and therefore sometimes struggles to score and he chases everything down, no wonder he's bloody shattered. Fair enough he misses chances but often make them himself. Come on guys look at this in an unbiased view. Richards works his socks off every week, Nardiello has one decent game and he's Pele?! In fact, look at the goals. And I know he has played so much more before anybody says it.
I just think we all have to comment when he's played a few games by the sound of things like on Saturday
People were crying out for him to come on because he is the only striker at our club that we know can finish. He maybe lazy, he maybe off side but he WILL score.
A combination of a few things Luck, he had his fair share. Ability, he used his skill to make things happen. Strikers desire, he wants to score goals. He is always thinking of getting into the box where he can either take a hit and go down or get space for a shot. When he came on he did something that Richards had not been doing, he was receiving the ball with his back to goal just as Rico was doing, but instead of laying it off, he was turning, either to face his defender and try to take him on or turning the defender completely. He made the defenders commit themsleves and that created opportunities.
But he hasn't been scoring. Until he starts banging them in you can't drop someone who, for one reason or another, is actually our (joint) top scorer.
Through my specs .. the game turned when Nardiello entered the arena on Saturday. Yes he played a blinder but I am sure it wasn't a one off. Apart from taking a hand in McIndoe's goal, he showed only too well that he knows where the goal is and can think quick enough to take advantage of fast moving situations, his near miss when he hit the post late on being a perfect example.
I'll accept that you can't judge the lad on this season because he hasn't had a proper start - but let's not lose sight of the fact that it was he who sealed our place in the playoff final, and it was he who kept us in it at Cardiff.
That you can't deny.

RE: Through my specs But once again he might have 'showed only too well that he knows where the goal is' but he still isn't scoring.
RE: Through my specs Give him chance - he was on about 20 minutes.
We scored 3 goals on Saturday - how many of them were put in the net by strikers?
Doesn't that tell us something?

Sorry mate BUT HE HASN'T BEEN PLAYING. I bet if you added up the time he has spent on the pitch this season it would struggle to reach 90mins in total.
Also on Saturday he was 2-3 inches away from a quality finish.

RE: Sorry mate Are you lot winding me up?! 2-3 inches away... and?! At the end of the season we can't ask The FA to reconsider our league position as we were 2-3 inches away on more than one occasion. I get where you are coming from as he hasn't played but until he gets his chance we surely can't comment either way.
RE: Sorry mate when he gets his match sharpness they'll go in. I like Richards but that miss at the end of the first half sums him up.
"He has been shocking all season" He had only played 60 minutes ALL season before the leeds game. Hardly fair to say that he has been shocking ALL season is it?
Or are you talking about in the reserves too where he has scored in three games out of around 5 appearences?

RE: "He has been shocking all season" All I'm saying is that (minus Saturday when I wasn't there so can't comment) when he has been coming he hasn't done much at all. Maybe this will change in time but we can't base it on one performance.
I'm basing it on since we signed him rather than basing it on 60 minutes in total of substitute appearances when he hasnt been given enough time to get into a game.
best striker at the club

You make me laugh.. "At the end of the season we can't ask The FA to reconsider our league position as we were 2-3 inches away on more than one occasion." And then you say we can't drop Richards
and if Dragon says so it must be true!! he was the catalyst for our victory
noun 2. a person or thing that causes a change
