    Hey Everyone

Went to the home game against Wigan and listened to the Blackpool game yesterday. it's obvious that we are lacking a quality striker. Who are the possibilities of players we are bringing in? Also why is he not playing Cofie?

Don't think Cofie is the answer, needs to develop him.
Don't think it's just about a striker, we need creativity too.

it's a very good question. every striker we're linked with, gets greeted with either 'no thanks', 'not a chance' or 'can't afford his wages'. rarely any suggestions on who would be suitable

The McLean link seems to have gone quiet. The Billy Sharp rumours are, I think, a tad unrealistic - he's looking for a move to Celtic according to BBC Sport Gossip Column.

It's going to be interesting to see who we bring in.

i think our season start could have done some damage as well. players & agents considering us due to 2013 and pre-season, are probably now back at 'not joining a relegation scrap'.

Coifed was a pretty regular starter in the league below us last year so to say he's not ready is a bit over the top. That match yesterday was crying out for pace upfront because their defence was so slow and they played quite a high line.

I'd like to see cofie given a chance against Charlton because as it is dagnall has not been at the races so far this season. Give the lad a chance up top with big Chris and see how he goes we need a goal and if he times a run he will be in one on one and he's not a bad finisher from what I have seen on YouTube.

Not worried yet but we played well yesterday without really looking like scoring and it needs addressing sooner rather than later.

Thing is we need a striker that can score goals.

    So does every other team.

A quality player that will guarantee goals will unfortunately be well out of our price range.

As for who we could use as a new striker on our budget - I haven't a clue.

Yeah I think it's going to be difficult for us to sign anyone any fresher than Scotland and better than Dagnall at the same time. Maybe we could just play Jennings off COG and see how that might work.

So no one fresher than the unfit Scotland or better than below average Dagnall? Either a wind up or you're not watching the same team. We won't spend big, but we can't do worse surely.

We could have a better menu to choose from if we could hold out while end of august I'm not sure whether we can IMO having said that its not as if we creating loads of chances and the forwards are missing sitters is it?

flicker wont panic. we only have money in the pot for 1 more signing. happy with us holding out til end of august, but obviously no guarantee we would get any of our targets then, either

would be interesting to know who flicker has turned down because they don't fit in with his special bunch of players, while i understand he is after players with certain characteristics,if he can score 20 goals a season do we really need him to run around a lot

So we're after a quality, talented Championship goalscorer in the prime of his career? Hmm, gonna be difficult for us IMO. We might drop on another C.Davies or VazTe if we're lucky but I think we'll end up in the loan market. Although hopefully Flicker's already got something up his sleeve :)

"Dagnall and kennedy 2 worst players I have seen in a reds shirt in 27 year. League 2 players. And flitcroft has become just like hill. Talk utter rubbish, play your pals from rochdale and is he losing the dressing room? There heads are down and shudnt be this early on. Maybe wudnt be if he played best eleven. IN there RIGHT positions!"

Where do you start with idiocy like that..

Should have trimmed the quote.. I was referring to this "Dagnall and kennedy 2 worst players I have seen in a reds shirt in 27 year".

If you agree with that.. that Daggers and Kennedy are the 2 worst Barnsley players in the last 27 years then I despair!
