    DUTCH goal machine Cecilio Lopes is in the middle of a three-club transfer battle - with Cardiff and Barnsley fighting Derby for his signature.

    Spies from all three clubs saw Lopes score two and make another couple for Dordrecht at the weekend - and the first to offer £200,000 will land him.

    Lopes (above) is a free agent next summer but fancies a move to England now and his promotion-chasing side are prepared to sell at the right price.

    It will be another case of "Well we tried, but couldn't afford the wages". What will Chopra think of another striker joining Cardiff. I wonder if he has secretly told Mr. Jones that he would like a move to Barnsley ???
