Sooner have him than Mifsud... thought he did ok for us in the short time he was here. Caused all sorts of problems for defenders, especially Burnley away on Boxing Day.
You are joking right? Our supply from Midfield has been pretty decent in my eyes. De Silva to Hume vs. Bristol City at home - miss, De Silva to Macken vs. Bristol City at home - miss, Colace to Macken vs Derby away - miss. I could go on to be honest but i'll stop at them guilt edge chances. Overall i think our Midfield is pretty good, a huge contrast to our shower of a front line.
It's a no from me... For both Cureton and Mifsud. Had high expectations for both of them when they arrived and both failed to hit it off for me, Cureton's passed it now and if i remember rightly he missed atleast 2/3 sitters vs Southampton at home, thats being said i'm grateful for the 4 points he got us. Mifsud started well and ran the channels well, scored a goal vs. Birmingham and Palace and though he'd hit it off then but he went down hill and lost his place upfront to Macken and Bogdanovic.
2 Years ago, yes but not anymore i'm afraid, not half the player he was, he confirmend that while on loan here
The top priority is a striker that can hold the ball up, win headers and others can play off. That's right a target man that can also chip in with a double figure hall, 15ish goals a season. Thats the biggest thing thats missing from our current squad and i don't thing you can really class anyone else as a out and out target man. Would love to see the difference it would make to our play when we have someone we can play off. We've got a few strikers that would love play off someone else and a midfield that would love for someone to hold the ball up for them to get forward. Every good team that we have had over the years I've been watching the reds have all had a good target man, all the way back to big Trev. No doubt we'll end up with a small striker or two with a eye for scoring goals outside of the championship.
