    Just walked the hound, i always walk up grove street and up near the academy complex. I noticed the gates was open at the club, so had a walk down behind east stand. All the lights were on in the reception area, and a BMW 5 Series parked outside among 2 other cars with the reg plate M BENT... I think Marcus Bent is our new signing.

    Just had a quick read of Marcus Bent's wikipedia page and found this little bit at the end

    "Bent signed a one-year contract with Indonesia Super League club Mitra Kukar on 3 November 2011. In doing so he rejected interest from clubs in England, choosing the Far East as he "didn’t want to be based up north".He was released from his contract at the Aji Imbut Stadium on 17 April 2012, with the club in mid-table."

    I'll humour you then pal - how do you even get a number plate that says M BENT past the DVLA? The format is totally incorrect.

    The board are right. If we do sign a 35 year old player who last played a game for Mitra Kukar in Indonesia back in 2011/2012, then it would be a "surprise".

    They have to follow a specific format and include both letters and numbers, and you can only have numbers in certain positions (depending on which number plate formatting system is being used - new ones come in but the old ones remain valid)
