It's not Lion, and they're still making their way down the list. Aitchison must've been the first to fall through, followed by Dykes, then Kulenovic. Any strikers that begin with M?

On the plus side, there's hope for a midfielder with Whiteman being so late in the alphabet.

Our new striker is already at the club , Patrick Schmidt if finally emerging from the shadows , he was excellent at Middlesboro the other night & apart from a clever finish his overall contribution was first class , he worked very hard closing down & supported his team mates throughout . Step forward Patrick , its time to stake your claim on a regular basis .

As much as he's improving his contribution to the team he's very similar to Chaplin and there will be many games where he is just bullied out of the game and get no joy whatsoever. We need that different option someone to hold the ball, ruffle feathers but still mobile enough to get around the pitch. Iv no doubt Schmidt will emerge this season but we need something different up top from what we already have.

I just think he is a natural finisher , not unlike Nardiello, but I do think he is a totally different player than Chaplin ( only my opinion ) , in his cameo roles he has generally been brought on because we have been chasing the game ,but if he is starting & his confidence is up, I think the signs are that he could step up to the plate , we will see .

Would agree. I think Schmidt is probably the best finisher at the club. And he now seems to be putting in a shift, so should hopefully get more games. Frieser also looks a good buy. His workrate is unbelievable and he also appears quite strong on the ball. We then also have Chaplin and Woodrow to consider. I do like the idea of having a bit more presence up front, but I'm not overly concerned if we don't manage to sign another striker. As long as we don't sell.
