    Do you mean premiership live?

They had MOTD on yesterday evening. However, I don't think they have the sky subscription channels.

    It's not Wetherspoons' policy

They will show live England games on BBC or ITV, but nothing on Sky, only Sky News which is free.
No loud music and a quiet atmosphere in their pubs is their policy and thank god for that, There are enough music pubs for those who want them. It's great to have a choice of somewhere quiet to go when you need to unwind.

Aye, typical Wetherspons, open a new place and staff not fully trained. It will soon settle down though. I have heard that it is the fault of the area manager, not well respected apparently and goes for staff cuts as opposed to running a steady ship. Staff run off their feet with not enough backup - that's according to what they have told us at the Wombwell Wetherspoons

agreed.. went in yesterday afternoon took ages to get served, the bar staff were too pre-occupied discussing what they were up to that evening..

They dont have skysports or prem plus. Great pub but the service is terribly slow.

Went in there yesterday evening with Spartacus

    Woefully slow service.

The pub wasn't anywhere near full - but they were standing three / four deep at the bar.

Also they DO play loud music in there (at least during the weekend) - which is also a bit of a disappointment.

Beer garden is terrific though (and the Beer is nice)

That's because it's a Lloyds bar - part of Wetherspoons chain and the Lloyds do have music on!

I take it you've not been in the new Wetherspoons then Tina

It's actually a Lloyds No.1 brand pub, and the music is rather loud.

    Lol, it's ok

    :pff
No, it opened up, the week before we went on holiday and despite my best efforts, I didn't manage to get there.
Hubby and I will have to catch the bus to Tarn one Monday evening and sample the beers.
They have changed the Wetherspoons in Torquay to a Lloyds No 1 pub and we were both devestated, in effect nowt changed, no music in the day, just weekends, they put in a dance floor type of thing, but that's covered with chairs and tables etc during the day and a couple of plasma screens and that's all, even the prices stayed the same !
we don't go in at night as my sister lives a good walk away (for an evening!) and our local pub serves real ale.
