Going there in a few weeks for a long weekend and want to hit the ground running. Staying on west 44th street but no idea where to head for on the night. Can anyone help ?? Is there an area like wellington street with plenty of bars in close proximity perhaps ?? Seen Pacha nightclub there so might give that a try on saturday but any advice most welcome.

Meat packing district and greenwich Heard them mentioned b4 but on the maps they cover quite a large area. Are there any squares to head for or something like that. Is the tub ok/advisable to use on a night or are taxis good value/safe etc
times square Think we are very close to this on west 44th close to broadway. Done loads of searches but there didnt seem to be as much to do pub wise but i suppose it depends on who does the write ups. Would make more sense to stay local I suppose and if its all on hand may be best
