    Great to finally join so thought I’d say a quick hello. Been a lifelong Red from back when my Dad started taking me in the late 70’s. We used to stand in the Ponty end BITD. Currently living in Portsmouth but was born in Mexborough and used to live in Darfield. My Nan still lives there & I have some family in Goldthorpe.
    Don’t get up as much as I’d like to these days, but try & get to games as & when I can. I was in the East stand upper the day we clinched Promotion, what a day!!!! Always remember those long return trips to the Well in our Premiership season... The drive back to Pompey with 5 live on, even after we’d taken some right beatings. But you know, I wouldn’t change it for a single minute. The trip to the Play-off final at old Wembley against Ipswich & more recently the JPT win & the Millwall game where I was with the old man, my son & nephew. Days I’ll never forget. Could we be making a return??? Let’s see where this journey takes us with Big Val. What a revelation the guy’s been & has certainly got everyone onboard.

    Anyway, hopefully get to know a few of you & look forward to a bit of banter along the way.

    Hi SCT. - used to do the same trip for years, from both Gosport and IoW! Now Oakwell is a trip South for me every other week when we are allowed! Still got loads of friends in Pompey and discussing their woes over the weekend! Good fans on the whole and we always meet up when they come to the ‘Well!

    Yeah it’s abit of a trip for sure..... Generally they’re OK I suppose, think they think that they should be higher up than they are, but it is what it is.... Managed to get to Fratton 2 seasons ago in our Promotion season.... Packed out away end. 0-0 draw, but Davies saved the penalty
