Whats it like for night life, wheres the best places to go, avoid ect ect
Any recommendations as to where to stop for night ect ect?

hmmm, mainly a area which has rock bar's or clubs like walkabout...
I'll pay £40 at most a night for Accommodation

Newcastle has a decent rock and indie scene. Have never been to Walkabout so I can't compare to that. Town centre is full of bars as is the area of Jesmond. Jesmond has a variety of B& Bs and hotels at a range of prices. It has good transport links with the city centre. As far as indie/rock nights go I dj on Mondays at Bar38 (quayside), Tuesdays at Revolution (city centre south) and some Saturdays at The Hancock (city centre north) as you'd expect they are all great! Trent House bar near St James Park is a great pub with a very good jukebox (beer is a bit pricey). Head of Steam and The Forth near Central Station are very nice bars. Trillians Rock Bar near the Library does exactly what it says on the tin and there are two dedicated rock nightclubs as well as a glut of indie nights (for every night of the week).
We going in a few weeks mate. We've been advised by some to go to the Quayside on a night, and some to go to the big market or something. Which would you advise? And what are the differences between the two?
Even the very fit ones will have a laugh. It has its share of munters, but there seems to be a better attitude up there mainly. Just imho you understand.
Gateshead! Its apparently not far in a taxi. Looked all over for hotels but there were hardly any available.
Quayside is more upmarket than Bigg Market, but then again so's Blackpool... or a skip... in a back alley... with rats... that have herpes. Bigg Market does not run to the Quayside but there's only 10 mins between the two. There are loads of places for cheesy nights out - Buffalo Joes being a good example or Blu Bambu (in Bigg Market). There are lots of bars in the Gate (entertainment complex) too which isn't too far from Bigg Market... has Tiger Tiger, Lloyds etc.
