SCARBOROUGH: FULL STRENGTH BORO SET FOR REDS VISIT

BARNSLEY legend Neil Redfearn will come face to face with the class of 2005 at The McCain Stadium tonight as Scarborough entertain the Reds.

New Boro signings Chris Hughes, Ian Clark, Simon Weaver, Brian Wake and Mark Eccles are all expected to feature for the Seadogs with Mark Quayle making his comeback from injury. Former Reds keeper Leigh Walker should be in goal for Scarborough.

    SCARBOROUGH: EARLY REDS TEAM NEWS

BARNSLEY will again be without injured quartet Richard Kell (broken leg), Brian Howard (fractured metatarsal), Bobby Hassell (knee) and Tom Williams (ankle) for tonight's match with Scarborough.

The rest of the first team squad are all expected to make the trip to the east coast and could all figure against the non-league side.

What exactly do they mean by the "class of 2005"?

    Let's hope so, eh.

    I assume they mean

Barnsley's youngsters. It's a friendly so as long as we don't pick up anymore injuries I'm not too concerned about the result.

    RE: I assume they mean

Oh sorry, I thought they meant "class" as in Neil Redfearn was class, and that it was now assumed that our current team was class.
This lot, and any future lot, have so much to do if they are EVER to wear the mantle of "Class" like our 1997/8 heroes.

They may have meant that but

as you say we've a long way to go to be as good as the Class of Redfearn and Co.

    I like the avatar btw.
