    Gillingham could face stiff competition for the signature of Tooting &amp; Mitcham hotshot Gavin Grant.

    Grant has been catching the eye in the Ryman League and this prompted The Gills to hand him a trial.

    He is reported to have impressed Neale Cooper and his coaching staff at The Priestfield, but there are other clubs taking more than a passing interest in a striker who netted a hat-trick for Tooting &amp; Mitcham against Corinthian-Casuals earlier in the month.

    Grant is represented by agency athletes1 and they have been contacted by a number of interested parties.
