I cant disagree with them-this pre season should have been so good everyone should have been willing the season to start-personally im dreading it-the club have shown no ambition to consolidate in this league in truth we are so much weaker than last year. It was obvious weeks ago what we needed gk-and a centre forward who knows what a goal is-we have neither and although mcindoe is a good signing the club have done nothing to show us this season wil not be a one hit wonder then back to the third tier. Im not going to criticise AR but as for GS he has done a good job as chairman but i feel he has no ambition for the club -crowds will be good at first but how many will turn up to see us get beat every week by christmas crowds will aveage about 8000

but then again i suppose id better be happy i still have a club hmmmmmm happy clap happy clap

    Ballacks.

Yes we knew we needed a Striker and a GK but from what I've seen they've been working hard to get one. The Adam Boyd price just shows how much clubs are wanting for their strikers, money which we don't have. So Ritchie has been in contact with Premiership clubs about loan deals who have said wait 'til August - we can't force clubs to let us have their players.

And the GK situation, we've only known we needed a new one for a couple of weeks, since Flinders left - so don't give that ******** about we needed one from last season.

    Yes? No?

And why was you given that nickname Danny? Oh yes, I remember, because your hair looked like pubes.

I take it I am right with my initial post? Ala you have no response to it?

    Yes, thought so.

Why not wait and see how we fair aginst Cardiff

it will be a good measure,a club that has thrown millions at trying to gain promotion against our more prudent aproach.

its not much different to how it was then.

there were bigger , higher spending clubs in the 90's who chucked money at the team and it got them nowhere, comapred to ourselves who went about our business in the right way.

i agree we need a new striker, but so does everyone - and we have to be concerned about the cost. it would be naive to think otherwise

    So what?

If you believe all you read in the NOW I suggest you start reading the fecking Beano.

More bloody sense in that then half the rubbish Jounalists turn out.

Iv'e never met a journalist yet who knew anymore about the game than an average 10 year old. I will correct that to an average 5 year old.

Since when has a newspaper prediction had any bearing on a season of 46 matches.
How many of that gutter profession predicted that we would be promoted last season? I don't recall many of them giving us much chance of winning at Cardiff either.

I doubt that the journo who wrote that article has ever been North of the Trent except for visits to eat his prawn sandwiches at Old Trafford.

We were promoted last season, why so much doom and gloom on here just because we haven't done a P.Riddy and left the club hovering above administration or bankrupt if anything should go wrong. I would be more worried if we were £26 million in debt with a delapilated ground and spending millions of £ we haven't got.

As for the up coming Cardiff game Win or lose, Chopra or Mcphial to score against us, it doesn't mean a thing. It's one game where an ex-loan player who scored was it 3 Premiership goals last season? Is returning with a fancy dan player who gave us 3 months of reasonable quality in 2 years was it? If we lose, what the ****, its 3 points  lost with another 135 to play for.

Donny beat a Middlesbrough reserve and academy side and suddenly they are a better team than us. What B*ll*cks. Pre season games are just that. They don't mean a thing.

I have supported this club for over 50 years and I have never known such a lack of enthusiasm from the fans following a promotion. Reading the posts has been like reading a Depressives Anonymous web site. Chear up you lot and think positive for once.

Start moaning if things do start going wrong for us after 5 or 6 games and for now lets fill Oakwell with lots of noise on Saturday and give Mcphail and Chopra a good old Oakwell welcome. I know I will.

    Come on yooooooooooooooooou Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds
