    snatch both their hands off

and I'll put up with mccann and togwell in midfield until leon & da silva arrives with another £2m in the bank to spare

Don't get me wrong, if we can get 3m for him then we should take it and run

I just don't think he's worth that amount.

    I think he is.

How many midfielders score as many goals?

how many of the current first team are Davey's picks

and how many did he inherit?

Howard was playing at the same time as McPhail so must have been one of Ritchie's so perhaps SD is preparing to unload Howard and replace him with his man. The uncertainty in the camp can not be conducive to a cohesive unit and I have noticed that in recent matches there has been less mutual congratulation and 'bonding' on the pitch than there was a month or so ago

if this is the sort of silly money that is being talked about, let him go and go soon but, I had a speed read through the activity during last Januarys transfer window and it didnt all happen on day one. We may have to accept at least a further month of uncertainty before the team will settle down again

But then they would announce it as a straight swap rather than a 3m purchase.

Neither ADS or our Bri are worth that as we all know, but think back to last season, they did pay 4m for Jags so fingers crossed!!!!!

    All of them are now

He offloaded all the ones he didnt want in the Summer - with the exception of Colgan

Nearly all the first choice first 11 this season so far are players he brought in apart from Howard and Disco (Hassel probably would have been a regular if fit and Togwell is in and out). Howard Disco and Hassell were all given new contracts this summer so must be Daveys picks.
    Take a typical Starting 11
    Muller - Davey
    Foster - Davey
    Souza - Davey
    Nyatanga - Davey
Werling - Davey (could be Kozluk or van homoet also Davey)
    JCR - Davey
Howard - originally signed by Ritchie (or Shep when Richie was on hols if you believe some)
    Da Silva - Davey
    Disco - Ritchie
    All 4 strikers - Davey

    in that case

I dont think SD will offer too much resistance if Howard wants away and what we think is largely (no, totally) irrelevant
