theres no way flinders shouldnt be in our first team for every match this season even though colgan looked to have imp0roved yesterday coming for some more crosses and such. he never shouts for the ball tho and ends up clattering people int back of their heads.
is flinders still injured i think hewas ont bench yestdi?

RE: theres no way flinders shouldnt be in our first team for every match this season No he's fit mate, he was indeed on the bench.
Colgan had a great game yesterday Claimed a number of set pieces with clean commanding catches, quick off his line when the defence were caught flat footed, good distribution and one or two decent saves, including one from a point blank header. Did make me panic on the occasion he punched though. I'd probably choose Flinders ahead of him but yesterday we looked to have two capable keepers.
ask wiliams how capable colgan is after being punched in the head by him because cikgan doest shout. or ask carbon two weeks ago when he got punched, or kay when he did, or reid when it was his turn. colgan is a good shot stopper but that is all.
I was there when Carbon got clattered I felt it. I was there when Robbie got sent off because of a fumbled corner. I felt that too. But if you judge him on yesterday he did well. Perhaps he's developing confidence? If that makes him play better then I'll do all I can to help it.
i meant williams getting clattered yesterday colgans decision making isnt getting much better. he still doesnt talk to his defence (as shown by him constantly punching defenders in the head) and i just wish the silly **** would learn to catch instead of punch
Yesterday he was catching And, to be honest, if it's no shout and claim it but clatter the defender, compared with shout, get the defender out the way, set off later and maybe not claim it then it's an easy choice.
you dont have to stand and shout you shout while you're running or jumping for it. It takes no extra time but it enables you to make a clean catch, if you dont shout and try and punch the ball through a defender then A/. You injure the defender, B/. the defender loses faith in your ability to control your box and C/. you dont get the ball anyway because theres a defenders head in the way and all that happens is the defenders headed clearence isnt as controlled because he was punched has he headed it. One of the first things any keeper is taught is to control his box yet it is thhe main thing colgan cant do for soem bizzare reason
RE: theres no way flinders shouldnt be in our first team for every match this season i dont think theres any chance barnsley will sell flinders any time soon, he's only going to get better and better and therefore his value should go through the roof. well done to teh board for getting him to sign until 2008 a few eeks ago, nice bit of judgment that.
