    Serious question. I've got a ferry booked for tonight and have to be in Barnsley tomorrow. What's the weather looking like over there? I don't want to postpone but it's starting to feel like I probably should.

    That happened to us in Blackpool once in mid December.... The hotel was right on the front and my dad was stood outside in just a towel cos the alarm went off and he was having a bath!

    If snow comes from the East the south east of England gets the worst weather in the UK. I lived in Croydon in 1962/3 and that winter was the worst I've ever experienced. I phoned My brother who was at Glasgow University at the time, and he told me there had been very little snow up there.
