realistically 45 points are needed to stand a chance of playoffs

Look at it this way only one team in the whole league didn't manage 19 points from its last 25 games last season something would have to go dractically wrong for us to go down now

    I agree Dan T

But, sometimes things do go wrong. I'd be delighted if we got those 19 points in our next 7 matches, but our realistic targets for this seasonare (a) stopping up and (b)finishing higher than last season. Anything else is a bonus. Sure with a bit of luck re:injuries and a striker hitting a rich vein of form we could sneak into the play-offs. But although we're playing well and picking up points, I think we're currently punching above our weight and at some point in teh season we'll have a bad run. Hopefully that run won't last more than half a dozen games and so we can continue with mid table security. Not sure if that makes me a pessimist or not (I know pessimist was Paul D's phrase not yours).

I've heard someone else say pessimist before Paul D said it, so I think it's outrageous for you to be claiming it as his phrase. Unless they know Paul D.

I'll should ask them where they got it from. Although I think it's in a dictionary.

    I'll check.

Yep it's there, so you're definitely wrong. Unless Paul D is credited for the entry. That might take some research and I can't be arsed.

    You win I guess.

I'm sure theterm pessimist was never used before yesterday and I've researched it on the top two threads here and did a Google of Paul D pessimist. It showed nothing....

Current form for the last 25

    With 6 to go

    The last 19 games we've won 3 drawn 6 and Lost 10.

Thats' 13 points or 0.68 points per game. (What was the points per game Ritchie was sacked for?)

If this current form continues we're on for another win and another draw - or another 4 points.

We finish on 50 - but I doubt that will be enough.
