Bryan Robson revealed he had lost patience with his squad and pledged to make big changes following the 2-0 defeat at Hillsborough:

"I have seen enough of the lads and given them enough chances this season but I believe we need a drastic shake-up.

"There have been enough excuses, we can't keep saying that we are good enough to get to the play-offs with a good run of results and then failing.

"Although you cannot write off the play-offs just yet we can't keep kidding ourselves. We have kept thinking we have turned the corner, but now maybe I think that for some players the expectations on them have been too much."

"I have looked at our overall performances and it is time for a change around at the club. Some of our players signed new contracts in the summer but expectations have not been met and I need my players to respond.

"Some of them need to move on and better ones brought in, but with less than a fortnight of the transfer window left, it cannot happen overnight.

"What I've got to do is get the best out of these players, get them to look in the mirror and prove that they are worth keeping in the side.

At least he seems to have a more realistic view than ours does.

Maybe but I wouldnt want to swap

The team he inherited was easily good enough for the playoffs with a decent manager eg Colin, Tony Mowbray etc
He has spent millions improving it and has a side which is performing as well as our much cheaper mixture

I think Sheff U need to change the manager rather than the players - but hope they dont :)
