...rumours are rife that Paulo Sousa is about to walk from swansea.

Big bust up with their board apparently due to lack of promised funding.

Could be rubbish, just have to wait & see.

I'll be gutted if he goes tbh, think he's doing a wonderful job :D

It's amazing how things change for a club when they lose their successful manager and star striker.

Sousa = big bust-up with everybody - Cardiff doing great!!!

I just managed to get round to watching the recording of Cardiff v Bristol City - I have to say that is some of the best Championship football I have seen for a while from your lads. Biggest positives were the attacking football; the form of Michael Chopra (supreme finish with the outside of his right foot when off balance); Joe Ledley (unless he goes to Stoke); Chris Burke - probably the best performance by a winger I have seen for a good while - amazing runs to set up goals and even getting back to defend and block. I just thought Whittingham should stop trying to score with every pass he receives!!! Jay Bothroyd - looked a class apart, excellent target-man striker performance and had the Bristol City defence dancing to his tune all match, I thought.

Just a couple of caveats - you have a very inexperienced back-line at the moment. Bristol City did not find the out and failed to put any great pressure on them. They did well in the match, but against a disorganised attack with no recognised target-man until Akindi came on. Backed by Marshall, who still looks to me weak on crosses, especially low ones (I saw him a time or two at Norwich last season) and you could have some 4-3 nail-biters to come if a side takes the same to you.

Nevertheless - great time to be a Cardiff fan - I think I would be delighted by the new stadium and the exciting style of play. Glad we don't have to play you until the injuries start to mount up!!!

Let's hope he stays for a little while longer. Helps us out!

RE: Trundle and Akinfenwa to return to Swansea.

I would hardly call it a sensational double swoop.

    Hope you're not a scout

....because that was pretty damned accurate. Worryingly accurate in fact.

Chopra is obviously on fire, Burke has been MoM every game imo & Ledley is returning to some form - at last. The Whittingham thing is a reaction to the end of last season when he was criticised from all quarters about his lack of effort & shooting - he's even said as much in the local press. As for Jay Bothroyd - when he plays well, we play well - simple as that. He's the pivotal player in our side imo. Our attaking style of play could also be attributed to Steve Mcphail not getting a game :D

Spot on with Marshall as well btw - as I've been pointing out to my mates who rate him highly. Our back four has been a problem through injuries and the sale of Roger Johnson. Hudson looks shocking whilst Gerrard needs time to develop - but he is showing some good signs. Gabor Gypes can slot in there. Kevin McNaughton (Mr Consistent) is injured along with Mark Kennedy (biggest suprise of last year tbh) at full-back although both are nearly fit again - as is Ross McCormack. The 17 year-old full-back Matthews is a very decent prospect though. Was told by an ex-player that he rates him higher than Aaron Ramsey although I can't quite see that myself. Quinn is another youngster at full back and looks a little naive at this level.

I'm delighted we've made a few signings (forward/midfielder & a midfielder) recently though to bolster our too-small squad.

As for the new ground, yes I'm happy. Didn't think I would be but have been pleasantly suprised. Still not keen on the outside but inside is excellent and the pitch is something else.

And, btw, some clowns down here are STILL calling for Dave Jones to be sacked. He could win the league one week, Champions League the next, the World Cup and the bloody Boat Race & they'd want him sacked. Madness.
