Who would you like to see as next England captain?

Think the text on dee dah FM who said Scott Parker is a decent shout.

Not sure Archey. Suppose if Capello is leaving after the summer then i'd possibly go for Scott Parker til then, and the new manager can look at a long term solution. Joe Hart perhaps. Wilshere? Someone who ISN'T going to make an absolute dick of themselves. Kinda narrows it down...

Personally, I think Mrs C would do a grand job. Except she's Polish. But tell her I said that anyway.

Joe Hart for me. Only player whose position in the team is safe. Decent character. Not like the captaincy really matters - for the sake of stability give it to him for the long term, if he wants it.

If not, then Parker is really the only contender as a stop-gap til after the Summer.

Parker for euros and onwards if he is still playing, Hart long term. Only choices at the moment. It will be Gerrard!

Gerrard: Thug (i'm not interested in a bent jury finding their hometown hero not guilty)
Rooney: Cheats on pregnant wife, has sex with prostitutes, swears at and insults fans.
John Terry: Cheats with teammates partner, racist, abused americans in aftermath of 9/11.
Ashley Cole: Adulterer, shot somebody, 100+mph in residential area, arrested for abusing police officers.
Frank Lampard: Abused american tourists in aftermath of 9/11

What a sorry shower of pathetic excuses for human beings. There's no wonder that hardly anybody gives a **** about the national side.

Have to say , it's a sorry choice for the F.A., that they can't find ONE English player who can be good enough to be consistently picked for the first team, AND keep his nose clean. I'd pick a young 'un. and give hime the responsibility, in the hope they take it on as a going concern. Jack Wilshire.

I think most of us will have done bad things in the past, it doesn't mean we should have to pay for them for the rest of our career.

Gerrard, got drunk and assaulted someone, fancy that, a lad getting drunk and having a scrap! I’m not excusing it for a second, but we all do stupid things. He is a legend for pool, a great captain and a good lad. England captain for sure!

As much as I like Joe Hart I'm not a fan of a goalkeeper being captain but I do agree that maybe someone completely fresh is the way to go! But who?!!

And if Terry is proved innocent Anton Ferdinand should be banned from English football!

    Simple

We become the first team in history not to nominate a captain, on the grounds that none of the f***ers deserve the honour.

Overpaid, overworshipped players ever so slightly put in their place.

When the ref says "who's gonna do the toss then lads," we nominate Mr Cole/Rooney/Gerrard/Ferdinand/Hart on the grounds that they're proven tossers (NB* assuming some common sense exists in the world and the biggest ****** of the lot, Mr Terry, is sat on a beach).

    A modicum of respect restored...
