Palace (a) Ipswich (h) Southend (h) Leeds (a) Someone will always come out and say that a certain part of the season is 'crucial'. However, I do think that this is probably the best possible run of games we could hope for. Palace on the slide. Winnable games against Ipswich and Southend and plenty of confidence going into the Leeds game. I'd written off Brum away before we even started but there's no excuses for not getting results against these teams.
True, if we can get our **** together for the next four games it could give a great chance of moving up the league, and taking some positives into the Xmas period.
RE: I reckon No way!
Having seen us win once this season I reckon those games will take me up to 5 victories for the season.
Find your faith!

RE: I reckon I'm usually Mr Pessimist but this team/manager has proven me wrong on many occasions over the last two years. I'm hoping for more of the same. There has been a lot of talk about Gord refusing to cough up the cash and/or Ritchie failing to strengthen the team. If we cannot drag ourselves out of the bottom three over the next month I will concede that their tactics have backfired.
RE: I reckon I disagree with the way things have been handled and have already expressed my concern that the squad is not good enough to stay up. However, I do think Ritchie/Gord and the team have earned their chance to prove us wrong. If the squad is as good as Ritchie maintains then they should be able to show it in this string of fixtures.
If you don't win the relegation 6 pointers You deserve to get relegated. Southend, Palace and Leeds are relegation 6 pointers
RE: I reckon Under normal circumstances, our strongest first 11 should have no problems getting at least 7 points from that run of fixtures. However, with the pressure now well and truly on, Southend especially looks like a tricky little number to say the least.....
