Squads for the 2012 qualifiers are being announced.

McEverley had a short stint with Scotland, but do we think any of our lads will break into the international squads this season?

We can rule England out, but no one could begrudge Steele a 'no 3 keeper' call up.

Any of our lads that are going to be playing most weeks eligible for Wales, Scotland, NI or Ireland? Considering the players playing for them these days (from Irish League and League One) there is no reason why a top performing player at Barnsley shouldn't feature.

Who can Drinkwater qualify for, what about Perkins, McNulty? No-one could say much if they made a 23 man squad considering current world rankings.

After the Peterboro keeper and Ipswich keepers were called up, l could honestly see Steele being called up or being amongst the names, only for that number three spot mind, the one that picks the bibs up whilst the other two warm up. He has to be the keeper of the Championship so far this season, getting rave reviews all over the media.

Im not saying they should be in the squad, but I would pick Perks or Drinker long before Gareth Barry if I was in charge. Absolute gash. And much like Philip Neville and Carlton Palmer years before that, its astonishing the amount of caps shat players can accumulate. Half the next Crapello England squad are involved purely for who they are, and who they play for. They are individuals who look ok when part of a multi-million foreign heavy Premier side, but in an England shirt they are shown up for what they are, average English player. No doubt some will disagree, but me personally, I wouldnt swap Gareth Barry for David Perkins. For us or Engerland.

I can and often do use their full names. But sometimes its quicker/easier to shorten things now and again.
Take Butterfield for example. How many folk on ere use Butts, Buttercup, Butty or whatever?
Just found it atypical, but rather sad that you picked me up for it like. But, lifes full of little mysteries.
