Disappointing today, but heck - it couldn't last forever. I didn't think we'd make the playoffs before today's game and less so now. But LJ is a hell of a catch. He's rightly p****d off with today's showing. I firmly think he'll sort the wheat from the chaff in the Summer, and I'd back him to bring in the right sort of players to help us mount a serious challenge next season. I think we're not close to how he wants to play yet, but I think we will be come August/September. I hope he plays hell up to get the groundsmen to bring the pitch up to standard, because that will be important. I'm looking forward to next season.
If we had cleared the snow from the pitch before the Christmas Oldham game it might be in better state. I agree though if we can have a good finish and give LJ something to learn from prior to season end it will be a good foundation.
Every season we get rid of the so called 'deadwood', a new lumberjack comes in and restocks the wood pile.
This season isn't over yet. We need to win our next two games and especially the Chesterfield one or we are screwed. But at the moment we can still make the play offs.
Pitch is looking very bobbly at moment , wonder if that's the reason we was playing more long ball than previous games
