All this talk of amibiton, lack of ambition, losing 7-0 despite safety etc. got me thinking. Vote now and maybe say why. Then let's re-cap prior to August 11th and see if you're happy in a years time.
I think that we will have a good season. In my years of watching the reds its usually been one good followed by one bad, therefore using a non- scientific approach next season will be good.
Ah.... the end result was what we wanted... but struggling against relegation all season is a bad season by any other definition.
RE: Since 1912 - Can't see us winning the FA cup! FA Cup would be a bonus. just meant that sometimes our honours are shown to be pretty limited as they often ignore winning play-off finals and other promotions etc.
So, if we finish 13th that'd be a sucessful season for most of you then. But what if we do it then lose 7-0 on the last day....!!!?
Losing 7-0...... I seem to recall us losing a certain game at Reading 7-0 and that result seemed to turn us round for the other half of the season. We also lost 7-0 at WBA in 1989, after which we only really were trounced on one occasion (at Newcastle). Mind you; don't ask me what this means cos i ain't got the foggiest although, suffice to say, we seemed to do ok afterwards (dunno)
13th-18th should be the target set by the club. Anything more is achievement, anything less is failure. Got to have targets so that we can assess our season properly at the end.
I suppose the above graph ably demonstrates the spread of peoples attitudes to BFC, i.e. optimism/sceptism/relaism etc. Must be a dissertation in the results somewhere (blagger)
